Wildfire Simulation:
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/fire/simulation.html
This is a wildfire simulation. The simulation shows how different variables affect where and how fast fires spread. The user can play with different variables and guide where the fire spreads. This can be used when talking about environmental issues such as controlled burning, wildfires, fire safety, and other related material. I would like to teach fire safety and talk about how different materials are more flammable than others. I can see myself using this simulation to give my students an opportunity to play around with their ideas before we talk about the issue as a class. This simulation is pretty basic and simple, but it successfully shows its users how quickly a fire can spread. Users are able to learn about the factors that contribute to the spreading of fires and make assumptions based on their experiments on the simulation.

I like this simulation that you found. This is a topic that can be hard to allow students to interact with the subject material but this simulation allows just that. I feel like it promotes meaningful learning through the simple interaction but availability of different variable to manipulate.
