This site includes multiple games in various subjects and grade levels. For example, there is a matching game in which students match antonyms. I don’t think these games are provide a chance for meaningful learning. Instead, these games give students a chance to practice what they already know. Hopefully the site would help some students with individual needs. Students could chose their area of weakness and practice till they feel comfortable with the content. I would most likely use games like those in this website as a time filler when students who are waiting for their peers to finish an assignment. The finished students could participate in the online games while waiting. Therefore, the students are still practicing skills.

This was a fun website to interact with because it provides students with an opportunity to practice what they have learned. Students could use these games as review for material they have been taught and the teacher could also use them as games to play while in centers. Overall I really enjoyed this site and would definitely use it with my students.
ReplyDeleteI really liked this site because it offers many different types of games in each major subject area including math, reading, and science. I also noticed that the site would be useful because it separates the games into grade level which makes the site simpler to navigate. Students can not only benefit and learn from the games on this site but can also use the other resources provided such as study guides, worksheets, spelling help, etc. Overall, I think the site could help students learn and apply their knowledge.
